Uzbekistan has a highly qualified scientific and technical potential in the sphere of space activities.
Apparatuses and equipment made by Uzbek enterprises were used in "Salyut" and "Mir" space stations, in the programs for the research of the Moon, Venus and Mars, and
currently keep working in space satellites within the framework of Interball international project. Uzbek cosmos - the Uzbek State Space Research Agency develops projects for creating the
systems of reception, processing and distribution of satellite information, including the development of satellite technologies in telecommunication, remote sounding, control and warning of
emergency situations. Production of aerials and completing parts for earth stations are brought to a commercial level. Design and erection works are also carried out. Conversion and
investment project of Uzbek cosmos are associated first of all with the creation of technologies and equipment for processing the agricultural produce nontraditional power engineering fire
alarm and warning systems, fire proof processing of buildings structures and communication systems, with the development of medical equipment and gauges as well as creation and utilization
of the GSM-900 standard cellular communication system in Uzbekistan.
